Caution: When using these pick up lines, I make no guarantees your date’s sense of humor will be as punderful as mine.
These silly pick up lines are perfect to use to use as a goofy way to ask someone out on these unique dates or as a joke when you’re out enjoying each other’s company. Find an excuse to get out and about doing something new with someone new (or someone old!) with these pick up lines perfect for these March holidays.
Who doesn’t love a date who shares their sense of humor?
But please… cheese sparingly.
For National Proof Reading Day (March 8):
Pick Up Line: “The personal pronoun always comes last.”
Grammar police, UNITE! Or at least pair up for this date night in. Board games are making a comeback and Scrabble is a classic that’s hard to turn down (especially when you’re as competitive as I am!)
Let me SPELL OUT how you plan this one. Buy some wine. Make a fun playlist to set the mood. Throw on some ABC by Jackson 5. And kick some A-S-S! (Is “ASS” even in Webster’s dictionary? Eh, it’s only 3 points anyway…)
Plenty of bars are getting on board the board game train too, with games to rent while you booze. Points to that!
Los Angeles $20 Dollar Date: Gamehaus Cafe (Glendale)
For St. Patty’s Day (March 17):
Pick Up Line: “Why don’t you come catch a leprechaun with me. Maybe together we’ll get Lucky!”
Sometimes planning a unique date is a tough itch to scratch… but an easy way to make a regular happy hour into something new is to bring a couple Lotto scratchers as a surprise!
Who knows? You might be able to pay for drinks with your winnings! Now that’s what I call getting lucky.
Los Angeles $20 Dollar Date: Find a list of lucky lotto retailers HERE.
For Pi Day (March 14):
Pick Up Line: “I want our love to be like pi, irrational and never ending.”
Is there a better excuse to get out for a decadent slice of pie to celebrate than Pi Day? We’ve all been on ice cream dates, but pie is something new and let me tell you, it takes the cake.
In a relationship? Pick out a slice for your date and make bets on who will choose the better flavor. What couple doesn’t like a little friendly competition? Loser gets the bill. Winner gets the last bite.
Single and searching out the one on first dates? This date is affordable and lets be honest, if you’re gonna go out on a lot of first dates, they might as well be tasty. If the date also feels never-ending, just tell em to stick it in their Pie Hole.
Los Angeles $20 Dollar Date: The Pie Hole (Hollywood/The Arts District)
For National Puppy Day (March 21):
Pick Up Line: “You’re looking fetching!”
Find out if you’re barking up the wrong tree with this person. I think dogs tend to have a great sixth intuitive sense when it comes to sensing what type of person I’m with.
No dog? No problem! Volunteer at an animal shelter or pet rescue center for the afternoon. Shed your ruff exterior and see the caring side of your companion by spending a day with Man’s Best Friend.
Just try not to get too attached to any dogs unless you’re a stable, committed twosome. Remember, the responsibility of taking care of a dog is even more of a commitment than a relationship!
Los Angeles $20 Dollar Date: Westside German Shepherd Rescue (Downtown LA)
For International Pancake Day (March 4) or Waffle Day (March 25):
Pick Up Line: “Even my new stainless steel cookware set isn’t as slick as you.”
Waffles are totally the new pancakes (but pancakes are good too). And I can’t trust anyone who isn’t down for some brunch 7 days a week. These random holiday are the perfect excuse to get a ooey, gooey syrup-filled brunch date going this weekend before everyone starts worrying about getting a bikini bod for summer.
Since spring has sprung by this time, call dibs on a table on the patio! Spring is the season of love and waffles are the food for lovers.
Got dinner the night before and following up the morning after with waffles in? Check out my fluffy, crispy, custardy ULTIMATE waffle recipe.
Los Angeles $20 Dollar Date: Overland Cafe (Palms/Culver City)
What would you do if you heard these pick-up lines? Would they make you giggle or groan?
